Missed 114

Missed the 114 and had to settle for the 106.
Do you know what happens when you walk in another man's shoes, that is when
you change your thinking to see from his view? You no longer think for
yourself.
We all start somewhere. That location or state of thought at the beginning
is important, but not so important as where we end. Immediate corrections
and on-going corrections are often needed.
The conventionally powered US aircraft carriers must be refueled every 3 to
5 days. Oil, oil, oil stuff. Millions of gallons transported all over the
world so these behemoths can stay on course. Of course, there is an
alternative. The alternate is the nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. They
need refueling of their 4 reactors about once every 7,300 days, say 20
years. Think electricity for our country.
Okay, smiles on these two:
I Pledged my office area. (No, I did not give it away, I cleaned it.) In the
process, I moved the computer, its key board, and mouse. After all was clean
and done, I could not find my remote mouse. Looked and looked. Story about
not seeing the snake in front of you because you are looking for something
long and serpentine but it is neatly and tightly coiled -- well I was
looking for a black mouse. (Recently my son had been using my silver remote
mouse, and I got used to the tethered black one.) No mouse. Asked my dog who
is good at sniffing critters out. He said it was right there. I looked and
did not see it. So I began to simply move everything on my desk. Pick it up
and move it. You got it, one of the things I picked up was my mouse, my
silver mouse. Mesmerized by color was I.
I was really looking forward to this weekend. It was to be 114 degrees,
maybe 112. GREAT! We had a hill climb road bike ride planned for this
Saturday. Couldn't be better. Bummer news. Saturday came and so did the
hills, but the temp was only 106. Oh well, there is always next week.
