Global Local

by

Leo Crocker Rogers

One of my favorite concepts is that all things "global" are "local" and all things "local" are "global" – all things universal are personal and all things personal are universal.

Here are a few:

No one can carry our baggage for us. We carry our own. Regrettably, if someone does carry it for us for a while, at some point they will not, and then we carry a load for which we are doubly not prepared.

It is folly to put someone else out of our own misery.

For ego’s sake, some give away the game, the marriage, the company, the country.

How often do we ask our self, "Why am I still here?" And when we leave, do we not say to our self, "I should have done this a long time ago." Why is that? Cowardice?

When someone consistently behaves in a manner that makes their hat of occupation that of questionable value to the world, to protect our self, we should give them shoes to match their hat and tell them to take a walk.

I have respect for those that invite me to their house, be it their mental domain or their domicile and say as I enter, "You are now in my house." For so it is. But for security, "I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever."

My best,

Leo
